4.   The suffering Church 

As followers of Christ, we must take a bold step: we must shed the 'enemy image' we have of those who persecute us. Because the moment we have an enemy image of anyone God's love can no longer work through us to reach them! We must pray for and even love those who hate us. - Brother Andrew

6.   The love of God

I would look around at my friends' lives and feel cheated. I knew they had their own struggles, but from my perspective, God streamed sunshine over their days while mine were overshadowed by clouds and pouring rain. It was hard to see God's love in that.

The dangers of the movie 'Silence' are first its heterodoxy that one can apostatize to avoid martyrdom and remain a child of God. An equal danger is the obvious allure of contemplative spirituality.

Your best friends shape your life, significantly influencing your choices and the kind of person you become as a result. It's not just a luxury to have good friendships; it's a necessity if you're going to fulfill your God-given potential.

In supporting the Palestinian regime that seeks the destruction of the Jewish State the Obama administration is being compassionate toward the wrong party. The Obama administration is knowingly and deliberately supporting the creation of another unstable Arab authoritarian regime that has failed its people.

I knew what they wanted: my involvement in a local organization, for I had been approached numerous times about joining. As an energetic young man in my mid-20s and very involved in the community, I was a perfect candidate... so I was told.

"God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life." - 1 John 5:11-12.   The question is, how can a person have the Son of God?
