2.   The Genesis flood

Few doctrines in Scripture are as clearly taught as the global nature of the Great Flood in Noah's day. Genesis clearly teaches that "the waters .... increased greatly . . and the mountains were covered" (Genesis 7:18-20). Through the centuries, few Christians questioned this doctrine. The Bible said it, and that was enough - until the late 1700s that is.The claim is often made that the Bible approves of slavery, implicating God as its supporter, since rules governing slavery can be found in the both the Old and New Testament. Since virtually everyone agrees that forced, involuntary servitude is morally wrong, how can Christians justify the Bible's apparent support of slavery?

3.   The narrow road

Jesus (and Paul, Peter and James) writes frequently and with great earnestness, about how loving God in spirit and truth requires obedience and fruit-bearing - not as works, since we are saved solely by his free gift of grace, but as evidence of a sincere love for him – and as evidence of our faith.

4.   Uniting all religions

Pope Francis appears to be on a crusade to unite the religions of the world into one. He started fast right out of the blocks and has not slowed down. Since being elected Pope on March 13 2013, he has launched initiatives to reconcile differences between leaders of every major religion, including longstanding rifts between Christian denominations.

6.   Parenting

Many kids are actually overpowering their parents. A functional family unit hinges on the one social construct that contemporary society has been working hard to dismantle: hierarchy. “You need a strong alpha presentation to inspire a child to trust you and depend upon you,” says Neufeld of parents. The parent always has to be honoured as the ultimate person,” he continues. “We need to put parents back in the driver’s seat.”

7.   Middle East

This is the single most important question of today. It is much more important than the machinations of the upcoming presidential elections in America, more important than the turmoil embracing the European Union as a result of mass migration, more important even than the impending worldwide economic collapse.

8.   Biblical morality

The Bible is clear about the importance of maintaining sexual purity within the boundaries of that union between man and wife. The secular world’s philosophy of “if it feels good, do it” pervades cultures, especially in the West, to the point where sexual purity is seen as archaic and unnecessary.

9.   Entertainment

There is tremendous power in art and entertainment to change lives and shape society. Through the mass communication media - newspapers, radio, films, videos and TV - ideas and values are promoted that transform history. The media can be used to inspire great sacrifice and service. It can also influence people to commit terrible acts of cruelty and carnage.
