2. Christmas

What is the true origin of Christmas? Where did it come from? Did you know Jesus Christ was born nowhere near December 25, but that was the "birth day" of the sun- god, "Sol Invictus" or "Mithras"? Did you know December 25 was the concluding day of the pagan winter festival called the "Saturnalia"? Where did "Santa Claus" come from? The "Christmas tree"? How did this pagan feast become connected with "Christianity"?

The importance of this sign lies in the fact that it authenticates Yeshua’s claim to be the Messiah. It is generally, but mistakenly believed that the Sabbath which was approaching when Yeshua had to hurriedly be taken off the cross, refers to the normal weekly 7th day Sabbath. But there were two Sabbaths during that final week. John 19:31 tells us, “It was the day of Preparation and the Judeans did not want the bodies to remain on the stake on Sabbath, since it was an especially important Sabbath.”

4. Hanukkah

The Chanukah story is almost unknown among most Christians. And yet, it is the best documented of all Biblical festivals. It is not only described in the Apchryphal books of Maccabees I and 2 - but is also referred to in a number of places in the Bible. Both Daniel and Zechariah describe prophetically the Chanukah story and we also have important and clear end time, prophetic references to Chanukah in Matthew 24. One of the main figures in the story, Antiochus Epiphanes, is the clearest picture we have in the Bible of the coming Antichrist. Chanukah is the story of victory over apostasy and lawlessness. Yeshua honored this Feast as we see in John 10, and Hebrews 11:33-38 includes the people involved in the Chanukah story in its list of the heroes of faith.

5. Prophecy

The Lord Jesus made various cogent statements about the future of both Israel and the Gentile nations in His Prophetic Discourse, also known as the Olivet Discourse. A very clear prophetic scenario of the first and last generations of the present dispensation is described by Jesus in His Olivet Discourse. Both these generations are characterised by the coexistence of Israel and the Church. In the first generation, the Church was established and phased in, while Israel was on a course of being phased out by way of the Diaspora. In the last generation, Israel is restored and phased in while the true Church must prepare itself to be phased out by way of the rapture.

6. The Trinity

God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are separate persons; yet, they are all the one God. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are co-eternal, co-equal, and co-powerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.

7. Dominionism - taking the world for Christ

One of the New Age heresies which is gripping the lives of millions of church-goers is Kingdom Now or Dominion Theology. This unscriptural theory is basically the belief that Christians are to go forth and conquer, to set up a victorious Christian political, spiritual World Empire before Jesus Christ returns. This idea is humanistic, appeals to the selfish pride in the carnal minded. Jesus Christ alone will set up His Kingdom. The Bible tells us that if Christ did not return, the entire world would perish in the period the Bible calls the Great Tribulation

8. Yoga

The number of people today, including Christians, that are involved with yoga is absolutely astonishing. Yoga, once considered by the western world to be a Hindu spiritual practice for attaining of occult enlightenment (Self-Realization), has now been thoroughly integrated into the western world—and into compromised churches. In fact, in many churches today, to proclaim about yoga what it really is - an eastern occult practice rooted in paganism - is tantamount to committing linguistic suicide.

9. Islam

During the weekend of November 13, many Christian churches across the United States began a series of sermons aimed at bringing about reconciliation between Muslims and Christians. These misguided Presbyterian ministers are trying to focus on a relationship between the Holy Bible and the Koran they call "Chrislam." They are saying that because the Koran mentions Jesus that there is common ground with Christianity. To prove their point, they are placing Korans along side the Holy Bible in their pews. And they are teaching that you can be a follower of Christ without necessarily believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins offering the gift of eternal salvation.

10. LBJ, Nixon, Kissinger and the Jews

Most students of the Arab-Israeli conflict can identify Johnson as the president during the 1967 war. But few know about LBJ's actions to rescue hundreds of endangered Jews during the Holocaust - actions that could have thrown him out of Congress and into jail. Indeed, the title of "Righteous Gentile" is certainly appropriate in the case of the Texan, whose centennial year is being commemorated this year.

11. Movie Review

"When we first started 'Harry Potter' and cast 10-year-old Daniel Radcliffe in the title role, parents drove their 10-year-olds to see the movies. Today, those same kids are now driving themselves to the midnight shows."[1] Dan Fellman, Warner Brothers. Dark, dismal, demonic, deadly.... There's no sign of joy in this disturbing movie! Yet it captivates children, stirs love for evil, and arouses addictive cravings for more stimuli and ever darker thrills.[5] Why are the forces of evil so enticing?
