At the beginning of George W. Bush’s 2003 invasion of Iraq, 1991 Operation Desert Storm vets suffering from Gulf War Illness were praying that United Nations weapons inspectors were right and that Bush and Cheney were lying about Saddam Hussein possessing weapons of mass destruction (WMD). After all, the ailing vets were casualties of those weapons even though the Pentagon maintains that Iraq never used them.
