There are probably no other persons in history whose life has raised as many questions as that of Jesus (Yeshua). But for Jesus himself, the Hebrew Scriptures were the key by which He understood his vocation as Israel's Messiah.

The problem of evil is an age-old question. Many Atheists claim that the presence of evil and suffering has been their stumbling block when it comes to embracing theism or the Christian faith in particular.

The works of the new atheist and evolutionist Richard Dawkins contain many factual/scientific and logical errors. For example, Vox Day's book The Irrational atheist found multiple errors in reasoning and factual errors when it came to the work of Richard Dawkins.

Abraham did not pick the eighth day after many centuries of trial-and-error experiments. Neither he nor any of his company from the ancient city of Ur in the Chaldees ever had been circumcised. It was a day picked by the Creator of vitamin K.

Having to prove the existence of God to an atheist is like having to prove the existence of the sun, at noon on a clear day. Yet millions are embracing the foolishness of atheism. “The Atheist Delusion” pulls back the curtain and reveals what is going on in the mind of those who deny the obvious.

One of the most remarkable occurrences in our time is God’s preparation of one individual to produce positive evidence that would completely undermine all Biblical criticism and bring atheism toppling to the ground wherever honest, thinking men will face the facts.

The theory of evolution is false.  It is simply not true.  Actually, it is just a fairy tale for adults based on ancient pagan religious philosophy that hundreds of millions of people around the world choose to believe with blind faith.  When asked to produce evidence for the theory of evolution, most adults in the western world come up totally blank.  When pressed, most people will mumble something about how “most scientists believe it” and how that is good enough for them.

The fact that God commanded the killing of entire nations in the Old Testament has been the subject of harsh criticism from opponents of Christianity for some time. That there was violence in the Old Testament is indisputable. The question is whether Old Testament violence is justifiable and condoned by God.

Bible critics have been proven wrong a thousand times, and in most cases this hasn’t humbled them or changed their opinion toward Scripture. Christian apologetics is a spiritual battle rather than an intellectual one. Following are a few of the glaring errors that have been made by critics who have tried to disprove the Bible.

by Henry M. Morris, Ph.D.

Belief in evolution is a remarkable phenomenon. It is a belief passionately defended by the scientific establishment, despite the lack of any observable scientific evidence for macroevolution (that is, evolution from one distinct kind of organism into another). This odd situation is briefly documented here by citing recent statements from leading evolutionists admitting their lack of proof. These statements inadvertently show that evolution on any significant scale does not occur at present, and never happened in the past, and could never happen at all.

Is there evidence of God’s existence inherent in the universe, solar system, earth and the human body? Are there marks of intelligent design all around us? In 1966 Time magazine ran a cover story asking: Is God Dead? Many have accepted the cultural narrative that he’s obsolete—that as science progresses, there is less need for a “God” to explain the universe. Yet it turns out that the rumors of God’s death were premature. More amazing is that the relatively recent case for his existence comes from a surprising place - science itself.

by Philip Vander Elst

The common assumption that science contradicts religion can be illustrated either from your own personal experience, if this is relevant, or by quoting the words of atheistic scientists, philosophers or journalists. Richard Dawkins, for example, has described the idea of God as “a very naïve, childish concept”, and similar comments have been made by many other Darwinian scientists.

The doctrine of the Trinity is foundational to the Christian faith. It is crucial for properly understanding what God is like, how He relates to us, and how we should relate to Him. But it also raises many difficult questions. How can God be both one and three? Is the Trinity a contradiction? If Jesus is God, why do the Gospels record instances where He prayed to God?

Non-Christians sometimes assert that God is portrayed in the Old Testament as a cruel and ruthless deity that indiscriminately orders the execution of seemingly innocent men, women, and children, or directly carries out their deaths by various means. Such a God, the argument goes, in no way represents the loving Creator or Father figure that the New Testament offers and should in no way be worshipped or venerated.

As doctors we are exposed to suffering in a unique way. For us, it is not something that just happens on a television screen to people we neither know nor meet. We grapple with it in our patients each day. Unless we want to insulate ourselves by becoming cynical and detached, we need to learn to cope with it and understand it. Suffering asks deep questions of us as Christians - not least 'Why does it exist at all?'

by Hebrew4Christians

Jesus Christ is God (YHVH) in the flesh. Indeed, to say Jesus Christ is Lord, is to confess Him as God.  According to the New Testament, salvation is experienced only by changing your mind and personally trusting that Jesus was executed as atonement for your sins, that He was physically pronounced dead and buried, and that He was raised from the dead in vindication of His glory and to function as our High Priest in heaven. There is no other Mediator before the Father and no other Name given to mankind for salvation.

Mathematically speaking, the odds of anyone fulfilling this amount of prophecy are staggering. Mathematicians put it this way:

1 person fulfilling 8 prophecies: 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 1 person fulfilling 48 prophecies: 1 chance in 10 to the 157th power 1 person fulfilling 300+ prophecies: Only Jesus!  It is the magnificent detail of these prophecies that mark the Bible as the inspired Word of God. Only God could foreknow and accomplish all that was written about the Christ. This historical accuracy and reliability sets the Bible apart from any other book or record.

Easter is just around the corner, that time each year when Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.  It makes for an interesting - and quite incredible - story.  Skeptics down through the ages have attempted to disprove it, directing their fire at the key pieces of the story:  Jesus’ death by crucifixion; His burial in a tomb; and various elements related to the resurrection itself.

by Bringing Truth

Among skeptics today, this is one of the most popular objections to Jesus. They say the story of Jesus is merely a copycat myth based on many ancient pagan religious "gods", like Horus, Mithras, Osiris, Dionysis etc. They even go as far as to say that it is doubtful that Jesus even existed! The idea here is by comparing similarities of these individuals we can draw the conclusion that the one who came after is simply a copycat.

Why do I believe that God exists and Christianity to be the only true religion? Why do I not accept the popular idea that one religion or philosophical worldview is just as good as another? These are important questions that deserve rational answers.

by Matt Slick

Some people say it is arrogant for Christians to claim that they alone are going to Heaven.  But is it really arrogance?  Arrogance is a negative display of superiority and/or self-importance, but true Christians are not claiming superiority or self-importance.  They claim that trust in Christ alone is what forgives them of their sins, and that all who trust in him can be forgiven as well.  This is not arrogance.  It is confidence in the work of Christ who sacrificed himself on the cross.

In many churches today there seems to be an inordinate emphasis on the beautiful gift of salvation by grace alone, and yet there is so little teaching on the corresponding doctrines of obedience and fruit bearing through the spirit.

Answer: In order to understand absolute or universal truth, we must begin by defining truth. Truth, according to the dictionary, is “conformity to fact or actuality; a statement proven to be or accepted as true.” Some people would say that there is no true reality, only perceptions and opinions. Others would argue that there must be some absolute reality or truth.

My first inclination is to agree with this statement. Before I do, let's determine what is meant by the word "Church". If you are saying that inside the church building on any given Sunday there are lots of hypocrites, I would tend to agree with you.

The controversy between creationism and evolution is not a disagreement between science and religion. Rather, it is a dispute between advocates of opposing religions: scientists who believe the Bible versus scientists who believe in humanism.  As Roger Oakland says, what one believes about creation and evolution determines what they will believe about morality and a Savior.

by Joe Crews

What is this evolution doctrine that inspires so much faith in its disciples? How has it turned great scientists into dogmatic opponents of any other viewpoint? Many evolutionary scientists have united their professional influence to forbid any classroom instruction contrary to their own views. Does the theory of evolution merit this kind of fanatical support, which would silence all opposing ideas?

Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900)

2006.

Friedrich Nietzsche challenged the foundations of traditional morality and of Christianity. He believed in the creativity and realities of the world in which we live, rather than any contemplation of a world beyond. In The Twilight of the Gods (Götzen-Dämmerung, 1888) he wrote,'I call Christianity the one great curse, the one enormous and innermost perversion, the one great instinct of revenge, for which no means are too venomous, too underhand, too underground and too petty — I call it the one immortal blemish of mankind. ... The only excuse for God is that he doesn't exist.'

Dear Friend

Due to the fact that we live in a pluralistic society, Christianity is viewed by many to be just another religion. In addition to that, the almost universal acceptance of the theory of evolution by educational institutions has led to many questions regarding the validity of Biblical Christianity. Unfortunately few people have the time to search for Biblical answers that would refute atheistic arguments with regard to science, evolution, archaeology, the universe, design, etc.

We have compiled a list of the most common arguments against the foundational beliefs of Biblical Christianity. It is our hope that you would take the time to read the articles which have been attached to this email in order to make an objective and informed decision about what is truth and what it not. The importance of finding the truth cannot be overestimated. Your conclusions will have far-reaching consequences both in this life and with regard to eternity. The main objective of God was and still is to reconcile us to Himself - through faith in Jesus Christ who died for us so that we may be forgiven and have eternal life

If we received information about an event in our future it could only come from a source that existed outside our time domain. Since this could not be a natural source, it would be by default a supernatural source . This is exactly where the God of the Bible claims He dwells. The Bible is the the only book on planet earth that can demonstrate it's text comes from a being who exists outside our time domain. It does this by telling us things before they happen with incredible accuracy.

Critics have tried for at least 2,000 years to discredit the biblical texts.  One of their most common charges is that the Bible is full of contradictions that prove it is neither “divinely inspired” nor “inerrant.”  Rather, it is just another example of fictional literature, produced by primitive people trying to explain the world around them.  Is the Bible really “full of contradictions” as some claim?  Or are there reasonable explanations for these textual difficulties that can maintain the Bible’s credibility and authority?

You can’t take a picture of Him to show your neighbor that He’s not just an imaginary friend. Yes it is intolerant.  In fact, it is very intolerant to say that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and that no one can get to God except through Him. It is intolerant because there is a hell and Jesus, who is God in flesh, who died for our sins, has made the only way to forgiveness a reality.

“Christianity is just a psychological crutch!” This is one of a group of common accusations framed against Christianity, which is why it is so important to examine and distinguish if there's any truth in it. He gave the reply 'Man is essentially good!' and was rewarded with sustained applause from the audience. The Bible clearly teaches that God hates sin. God is also going to punish that sin, wherever He finds it. This presents a problem for us because we have sinned, are sinning, and will sin in the future. God's justice is so thorough that every sin that has, or will be committed is punished by God. It is either paid for by Christ on the cross, or we pay for that sin ourselves.

Through the cross, our wonderful Savior took the punishment for our sins and brought us into an intimate relationship with Himself that will last forever.  The Scriptures below show the way to enter into that relationship, trade our weakness for His strength, receive His life of joy and peace, and participate in His victory now and for all eternity.
